About Us

South Benton Resource Center

The South Benton Resource Center is many things for our community. We are best know for the South Benton Food Pantry, located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, in the friendly town of Monroe.

We’re proud to source our food locally, working with partners like the Corvallis Farmers Market, Linn Benton Food Share, and neighboring farms and stores.

We provide: Emergency food for those in need.

Resources and tools to help families access support services.

Opportunities to connect with others and build a stronger community.

We believe everyone deserves access to good food and a supportive community.

Our Heart:

The South Benton Food Pantry

Providing fresh food, staples and necesities to our Monroe area neighbors for over a decade, the Pantry serves dozens of families and seniors each week.

Founded by Executive Director Janeece Cook and a group of dedicated volunteers, it has grown to be an important part of the Monroe area’s non-profit services and is at the heart of the South Benton Resource Center, comprising the Food Pantry, Heritage Hall, and the Kepi Nak-Nak Café.

We are now starting to build a replacement for the current facility holding a larger Pantry space and room for related services. For information or to donate to the Pantry, Contact Us Here.

How the Pantry Helps

At the South Benton Food Pantry, we’re reimagining how people access food. We offer a dignified, shopping-style experience where you can choose the fresh fruits, vegetables, and bread that best meet your needs.

Can’t make it in person?
Send an authorized representative! We provide the necessary forms and authorizations, which are valid for one year unless otherwise noted

Your presence lights up our pantry, and if your schedule doesn’t allow, sending an authorized representative is just as welcomed. We provide the necessary forms and authorizations, valid for one year unless indicated otherwise.

Have dietary requirements or know someone in need of food? Look no further. Our mission is to cater to your unique needs.

Because to us, feeding our area’s well-being extends beyond food—it’s about building a strong, resilient community.

Need referrals to other agencies or seeking special assistance? We’ve got you covered. Our goal is to ensure not just sustenance, but the best possible nutrition. Beyond food, our offerings include essentials like diapers, wipes, and soap products. We understand the challenges of a limited budget, and we’re here to help in any way we can.

Reach out, and let’s work together for a stronger, more nourished community.

Kepi Nak-Nak Café

Welcome to the Kepi Nak-Nak Café, the new meeting place in Monroe to sit down, have coffee and a bakery item or perhaps a full breakfast, and know that you are supporting the South Benton Food Pantry!

We pride ourselves on serving fresh, wholesome food where every item on our menu—from our breakfast menu to our famous baked goods—is prepared from scratch in the cafe.

Choosing to dine with us does more than satisfy your appetite; it supports our community.

Your patronage helps sustain vital programs that provide emergency food assistance and build a more resilient, connected community for everyone in South Benton.

The Blackberry Jamboree is our annual celebration of summer. Join the South Benton Resource Center on the last Saturday in August for a day that’s “all things blackberry.”

Whether you come for the live music and local wine tasting, or just want to snag a snowcone from the Cub Scouts, there’s a seat at the table for everyone. From homemade jams to signature blackberry cocktails to potluck, it’s more than a festival; it’s how we say goodbye to summer, together.
